Acorn has been managing the planned maintenance building services for the Gagosian Gallery in Britannia Street London for over six years.

The gallery, which was built in 2004, is a contemporary art gallery owned and directed by Larry Gagosian and at the time was the largest commercial art gallery in London.

The building has a range of conditions and environments that are required to be managed in order to house particular artwork and our maintenance plays a big part in providing the consistency and confidence in the plant.

In 2010, Acorn helped the gallery prepare the spacing for a very special Picasso exhibition which was and still is the largest collection of Picasso’s under one roof.

In order for the gallery to host this exhibition, a modification was required to enable them to control the temperature and humidity to a sufficient level for the paintings.

We installed, commissioned and tested the whole install with in a tight schedule so the new system could be monitored for one month prior to the exhibition.
