Acorn has met the requirements of the ECA by satisfactorily demonstrating compliance with relevant technical standards in the following categories of work:

- Electrical Installations within Commercial Buildings and Industrial Locations

- Electrical Installations within Dwellings or similar up to 100amp

and associated Quality Management.

SafePQQ is an extension of the SafeContractor health and safety contractor management system. Acorn has demostrated that we are a safe, ethical and sustainable company to work with through the SafePQQ Gold verification badge.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognises and supports the Human Focus system that is designed to help Acorn improve occupational health and safety in their workplace. HSE believes that this initiative will create opportunities for Acorn to understand their health and safety responsibilities and what they need to do to put things right.

Acorns results from assessment means we have achieved level 4 – extensive activity.

Acorn has demonstrated that we employ appropriately qualified personnel in a sufficient manner to cover the expected volume of activities in the installation, maintenance or servicing of stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment containing or designed to contain certain fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Acorn successfully hold the FGas accreditation issued in accordance with the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases regulations 2009 No 261. 

Constructionline is a procurement and supply chain management service that collects, assesses and monitors standard company information through a question set that is aligned to PAS 91.

Acorn has achieved Constructionline accreditation, proving Acorn has met pre-qualification requirements appropriate to public and private sector procurement.

The Safecontractor is a leading health and safety scheme in the UK.

The Safecontractor scheme provides a health and safety audit service which enables us to reassure our clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on your sites.

Acorn successfully maintains Safe Contractor accreditation.

Acorn is accredited within the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current basic health & safety legislation.

Acorn has the technical capability to carry out electrical installation work in accordance with the requirements of BS 7671 and is registered for the Approved Contractor Scheme.

NICEIC is the UK's leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry.

The Gas Safe Register is the official registration scheme for installers and maintenance engineers dealing with gas appliances.

Acorn is enrolled on the Gas Safe Register of gas engineers and is deemed a member of a Class of Persons approved by the relevant health and safety enforcement agency, in accordance with current gas safe legislation in force.

ISO 45001 is an international standard which sets out the requirements for our occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. ISO 45001 enables us to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as proactively improving our OH&S performance

Acorn has been assessed and registered by NQA against the provisions of ISO 45001:2018. (UKAS) accredited.
