In 2014, Acorn was awarded the maintenance and servicing contract for Leiths School of Food & Wine in London.
The school was founded by Prue Leith in 1975 and has trained many famous chefs including Lorraine Pascale who is now a household name on the BBC.
Leiths, which has an international reputation as a first class culinary institute for chefs, has premises based in West London. The building is 10 years old and had a major refit in 2008 for the schools purpose.
Acorn has an established engineer who visits the building once a week where he dedicates the whole day to the site. Once the engineer’s weekly maintenance tasks are complete; he will then continue to carry out any general jobs as requested by the Facilities Manager; delivering an added value service for the client.
As an additional service to the contract, Acorn maintains and cleans the kitchen canopies on a three week basis. This is to comply with Leith’s strict fire policies and also to keep the building up to the excellent pristine hygiene standards expected by their paying visitors.
